In September, we took part—together with Legacoop Nazionale—in the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.

 

The initiative was created to celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives proclaimed by the United Nations for 2025, and brought together Italian cooperatives alongside the Japan Cooperative Alliance.

 

The mission to Osaka was an important opportunity to present the cooperative model promoted by Legacoop and to highlight the central role cooperatives play within Italy’s economic and social landscape, engaging in dialogue with the Japanese cooperative movement, with which a long-standing and fruitful relationship has been built over the years.

 

As emphasized by Attilio Dadda, President of Legacoop Lombardia, this initiative marks the beginning of a shared path capable of uniting experiences, values and strategic visions.

 

Italy and Japan, though shaped by different histories, demonstrate that the cooperative language is truly universal.
